You are making a wise investment in high quality products that will continue to provide style, comfort, and ease of care for many years to come.  To ensure that you get the maximum use from that investment, call or email a Summer House team member for care tips.  Informed ownership will help protect you from violating the manufacturer’s warranty terms should any issues arise.

WARRANTIES

An original sales order is required to obtain warranty service.

The following are NOT covered by any manufacturer warranty:

  • Any failure caused by unreasonable, negligent, or abusive use
  • Damage caused by a lack of care including the use of harsh or abrasive products, improper storage, or product modifications
  • Normal fading within industry standards
  • Glass tops
  • Cushions, pillows, or umbrella canopies made with C.O.M.
  • Stains caused by lotions, oils, wax, or other substances
  • Bursting or cracking of frame extrusion, or resulting finish damage, due to freeze damage
  • Normal fluctuations in teak grain known as “checking”
  • Acts of nature including wind, insect, or animal damage

Each manufacturer has its own warranty periods and conditions.  Should you need to initiate a warranty claim, contact Summer House immediately for guidance on the appropriate actions to take.  Delay in communication may have a negative impact on your warranty claim.

RECEIPT OF PRODUCT

DELIVERY

Please ensure that all balances are paid in full when scheduling delivery.  As precise timing is difficult due to routing, traffic, and other factors, please be available throughout the day of your delivery.  In case of emergencies or if you cannot be present, inform our delivery department at 206.575.2201.

PICK-UP

Notify us at least 24 hours in advance of your warehouse pick-up. This will allow the warehouse to pull, assemble, and inspect your order prior to your arrival.  Bring tie-down supplies and blankets.  Summer House cannot be responsible for securing your products for travel. Pick-up hours are 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

 

RETURN POLICY

STOCKED MERCHANDISE

Purchases of stocked items from our showrooms, warehouse, or incoming orders are not subject to a restocking fee.  Items may be returned in their original condition within 14 days for a refund.  Credit card refunds must be made back to the original card used for payment.  Payments made by check or cash will be refunded by check. Delivery charges are non-refundable.  If a return requires a pick-up by Summer House, a charge equal to your delivery charge will be required.

TEAK MERCHANDISE

Due to teak’s weathering process, teak products left outside past the date of delivery may not be returned.  If you wish to return a teak item, store the item indoors immediately and make arrangements for its return.

SPECIAL ORDER MERCHANDISE

All special orders will require a minimum 50% deposit before the order is placed.  A 72-hour cancellation window goes into effect once you place your order.  No cancellations or returns may be made after this period.   You will be responsible for the ordered item(s) as well as any remaining balance.

CLEARANCE MERCHANDISE

 All clearance items are sold AS-IS and are non-returnable.
